Pause: This isn't really an Easter Egg, but a gift sent from God for all us 4 hour Astrosmash players. 8*) To pause ANY Intellivision game at ANY time, simply press 1 and 9 or 3 and 7 on the keypad at the same time. Contributed By: Chuck Whitby (Chuck_W@geocities.com) Deadly Dogs: In Dig Dug, there is a hidden game: Deadly Dogs. It's a version of Tron Deadly Discs using characters and items from Burgertime! To access the game, press 4 and 7 simultaneously on controller 1 and 2 at Dig Dug's title screen. Contributed By: Brian (Bab264@aol.com) "Invincible" in Bump 'n Jump: In Bump 'n Jump, you can jump off the edge of the screen and wrap around the other side. If you jump and position yourself so that only the left half of the car appears on the right edge of the screen (give it a few tries; the position has to be precise!), you will land safely off the screen and don't have to do anything for the rest of the level -- you don't even have to jump at water hazards! There are only two disclaimers: The first is that you will crash if you jump again (it turns out that the car positions itself one pixel to the left when jumping); and the second is that you have to jump back onto the roadway at the end of the level, because the car automatically drives toward the center of the screen at the end and will crash if you do not return. Contributed By: Mike Hayes (mjhayes@cs.Buffalo.EDU) Maze-A-TRON Pause In Maze-A-Tron, you can avoid having to pause your game if you have to go eat or something by deactivating a Recognizer near a Flip-Flop, then enter the Flip-Flop. The screen will keep changing direction and no enemies will come your way as long as the deactivated Recognizer stays on the screen. Contributed By: Steve Marlow (marlsj@uleth.ca) Hide Inside Donkey Kong In Donkey Kong, you can walk inside of Donkey Kong himself! Not very helpful but funny. Just go up to DK on the top of the second level, run into him until you can't run anymore, then push towards him and jump. If you are lucky, you will jump inside of him! When you want to come back out, you actually walk backwards. I've actually avoided the firebeasts a couple of times by hiding inside DK! Contributed By: Steve Marlow (marlsj@uleth.ca) Get A High Score In Lock 'n Chase When you enter a tunnel and move the disc up and down really fast you can enter a strip that lets you ring up points quickly, but you'll also be trapped there forever. If you wrap around the screen a few times you'll hit a "wall" and sometimes be suck there forever and have to press the reset switch. Contributed By: Gauze (gauze@loa.com) Land Sailing in Utopia It turns out that the movement code for the fishing boats in Utopia isn't the world's greatest. (I suspect the Exec might be partly to blame for this). If you're careful and persistent, it's possible to get your fishing boat to wriggle out of the lower right-hand corner of the screen. Once you wriggle off screen, if you sail around to the right, and then back up along the side, and then come back onscreen around the top towards the right, if you're lucky, your boat will now a able to float on land. :-) Caveat: In this mode you will not be able to park your boat anywhere and you will not get your cursor back. The only way to resume normal boating is to travel the reverse path. The diagram below illustrates the approximate path. It'll only make sense if you view this in a fixed-width font:
Contributed By: Joe Zbiciak The Ultimate Bomber This egg is for B-17 Bomber. For unlimited fuel and 200/1000lbs. bombs, press 0 and then 1 on the left hand controller at the start up screen. The game is alot more fun using this egg. Contributed By: Anthony (CarolTone@aol.com) Free Point in Super Pro Hockey On Intellivision Super Pro Hockey, go behind your opponent's goal and hit the puck toward the back of the center portion of the goal - you'll hear the puck bounce back and forth rapidly and 90% of the time you'll score a point. Contributed By: Christopher D. van der Kaay (cvanderk@earthlink.net) TRON: Not So Deadly Discs In the TRON: Deadly Discs you can position your man so he is standing just inside one of the open doors. He needs to be as far into the doorway as you can position him, one pixel before he jumps to the other side of the screen. In this position, the discs thrown at him will usually not touch him. It works about 95% of the time, so you may want to still use his disc as a shield. From this position, he can still throw his disc, but don't have to worry about dodging. Make sure you tell me how to activate it and what it does, and I'll post it with your name and e-mail address next to it (I will also with hold your address and name if you'd like). |
